Visiting Hawaii if You Don’t Have a Fortune
Hawaii is high on the list of places to visit for many people but they keep putting it off because it’s so expensive. Resorts in Hawaii are some of the most expensive in the world and airline tickets cost a lot but it is possible to find some bargains if you plan carefully.
You can find cheap airline tickets to Hawaii if you’re flexible on when you want to fly. Try a site like Priceline, or AirTech, which specializes in Hawaii and Europe, and you can find bargains if you agree to bid on your ticket without having an exact date in mind.
It’s even possible to find inexpensive hotels in Hawaii if you’re willing to go off the beaten path. There’s a small bed and breakfast on the Big Island of Hawaii that only has four rooms but if it’s available, you can find rooms for under $100 a night. It’s called the Puako Bed and Breakfast and you can save money on food because they do give you a good breakfast for that price.
Another good way to visit Hawaii cheaply is to stay in a hostel there. You can rent a private cabin at Plantation Village across the street from a wildlife sanctuary beach for well under a hundred dollars per night per person. These cabins and the dormitories that go along with them have kitchen facilities so you can save money on eating out if you stay there too. It’s not luxurious, but you will enjoy Hawaii just as much if not more than by staying at a fancy resort because you’ll get to see how islanders really live.
Another option for staying in Hawaii inexpensively is to rent a vacation home there. You can rent an oceanfront condo on Maui for under one hundred fifty dollars a night and have an ocean view as well as a pool and amenities. You’ll have a kitchen included to so you can buy groceries to save money.
Don’t count out Hawaii as a vacation destination just because you don’t have a fortune to spend. It is possible to see Hawaii on a budget and your memories will be just as bright.
