A relatively new concept in the online world is “Virtual Real Estate Investing“. There are many variations on what this term means, encompassing everything from using the internet to aid in real estate investing efforts to participating in online games such as SecondLife.

In order to figure out the truth of the matter, I sought out Bryan Ellis, whose experience in the fledgling industry is truly impressive.

“I began using the term ‘virtual real estate investing’ in the late 1990’s when I realized the clear similiarities in profit strategies, regardless of whether the “real estate” is “virtual” or “physical” said Ellis.

Bryan Ellis cites the similar strategies one can employe to make money from “virtual property” and “physical property” as a primary parallel of the two markets. “There’s a huge difference between a website and a piece of real estate, but the ways you can profit from them are similar: ‘flipping’, rental/leasing, advertising sales, etc…all of these apply to both markets” he states.

I must admit: Its easy to see the parallels. Consider this: If you own a piece of real estate in a desirable neighborhood, your real estate has value because other people are interested in that location. Likewise, if you own a desirable domain name, others will find value in it because it serves their purposes. Regardless of the type of asset, you can sell or lease or use any number of strategies to turn the assets into cash.

In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.

Introduction This
article shows you what is involved to get your own website up
and running. This information can help you with preparing the
requirements for your website. Having well defined requirements
will result in a better website while making it easier for both
you and the web designer to whom you outsourced your project.

Outsourcing your web development project You are planning
on outsourcing your web development project, right? A mistake
commonly made by small businesses is to think that they can
simply throw together their own website by using basic knowledge
of HTML, the language in which webpages are written.

I agree that having a basic understanding of HTML or tools such
as Microsoft Frontpage and Macromedia Dreamweaver can lower your
costs in the long run. This allows you to do the maintenance on
the website contents yourself. However, please don’t make the
mistake of setting up your webpage yourself. Trust me that
outsourcing your web development project will save you a
significant amount of time and frustration.

Making preparations Before outsourcing your project,
collect the information as written in this section.

Domain name. Your website requires an Internet
address such as http://www.yourname.com. Brainstorm a few domain
names that are short and descriptive for your type of business.
You can check availability yourself or ask your web designer to
take care of the registration.

Images. Most
businesses have digital versions of their logo and products.
Collect these and pass them on to your web designer.

Content. Don’t expect your web designer to copy write
all the contents of your website. He doesn’t know your business
as well as you. Create a simple document with: your mission
statement, history of your business, customer testimonials,
contact information, and an introduction to your company.

Layout. A good logo can spark the creativity of the
web designer. If you want to further steer this creativity,
provide your web designer with your preferred color scheme. It’s
even better if you can provide a list with Internet addresses of
websites that you like.

What to ask for After
collecting all this information, you are ready to contact your
web designer. Here is a good hint: request your web designer to
first deliver a design of your website for your approval before
he starts implementing the website. Ask for at least the
following tasks to be completed:

Domain name
registration. Your web designer will know where to go for
this and who is offering a good mix between reliability and
cost.

Obtain hosting account. You need to be
able to store your website on a server computer that is
connected to the Internet 24-7. For this a hosting account is
needed.

Website development. This consists of
your web designer making a design and then implementing the
design of your website.

Search engine
submission. Make sure your customers can find your website
on the Internet. For this it has to be submitted to the search
engines.

Free support. If a web designer
believes in the quality of his own work, he won’t mind giving
you free support for at least a few weeks regarding his work
results.

How much it will cost There or two
types of costs involved, one time costs and recurring costs. The
latter consist of your hosting account and the renewal of your
domain name. Even if your web designer obtained these for you,
they are your responsibility. These can vary greatly depending
on your provider and website size and complexity. For a basic
website you can expect these recurring costs to be approximately
$100/year.

The one time costs consist of the actual website development. A
basic website containing up to 10 pages will take approximately
1 week to design and implement. The hourly rate for web
designers varies greatly based on their location and skills and
will be somewhere between $15 and $75.

Conclusion The contents of this article outlined what you
should do to obtain a website that satisfies your requirements
and expectations. It also gives you a guideline for calculating
the costs allowing you to properly budget your web development
project. Let me emphasize it one more time: don’t waste your
time and energy, outsource your web development project to a
professional web designer.

“How we spend our days is how we spend our lives.” Annie Dillard

It’s true. Each and every small choice we make every day about how to live in the world adds up to a lifetime of happiness, misery, or somewhere in between. The good news is that while there are many things we can’t control, like terrorism, there are many things we can, including our attitude. By choosing a personal lifestyle that includes balance, order, and beauty, we can better nurture ourselves and our families and in doing so have more positive loving energy to put out into the world.

Balance means first and foremost getting a handle on your personal and family calendar. Carefully evaluate all of your current commitments and obligations to make sure the choices you are making are in line with your values. Like a closet needing weeding of outdated clothes, an ongoing review of your calendar indicates where you can cut back unnecessary obligations and best use your time. God has given us all special talents and abilities and we are called to use them wisely.

Order is necessary for creating a firm foundation in our lives and homes and it’s the responsibility of every family member, not just mom! A home that has a flexible routine based on good order and smoothly running systems for household management is a harmonious home. It’s not about perfection, but about NOT living in chaos. Wisely editing possessions frees up space and maintenance time that could be used for more pleasant pursuits.

Beauty is the “frosting on the cake” of balance and order. When we have balance and order in our lives as a foundation, we begin to open our eyes and notice and delight in all the beauty around us such as art, good books, soothing music, good food, the beautiful sea, and wonderful friends to name a few.

We can also create our own beauty at home, whether it be by decorating our home in a comforting manner, or by pursuing that much-enjoyed creative hobby. A welcoming and loving home is not about lots of money–it’s about comfort, grace, and ease. So put a lovely flower on your dinner table tonight, light a candle, and enjoy your life of balance, order & beauty!

Alright you’ve a snowboard and desire to travel. Are you seeking a fresh area that the crowds are not heading to for their ski holidays? Would you like to be able to boast not only about the fantastic pistes but also the travel adventure you had arriving to the destination? Below are 2 adventure, novel, new, different, exciting} locations for going skiing.

Le Tour comprises one of those resorts. It is among the most elevated ski firlds in France, and thanks to the altitude you can snowboard on it year round. The upper peaks stay snow capped year-around and provide all year skiing enjoyment. Their slopes are amongst the finest out there and it’s unsurprising that the ski resort is a ski real escapade.

Isola 2000 is the last exciting ski location. In the most southern populated location of the earth wintertimes are bleak and snowfall is big. The outcome is snow bedecked mountains that reach all the way to the sea. There isn’t a better mountain to enjoy snowboarding. With several excellent skiing mountains, you are never faraway from the pistes. As you cast an eye south when skiing you’re seeing clear to the sea. It actually is the ultimate snowboard destination.

Are People Scribbling On Your Dreams?

I recently took my kids to a movie titled “Shark Boy and Lava Girl”. In the movie, a boy named Max dreamt of a planet where children could have endless fun. He called it Planet Drool. He recorded all his dreams in his dream journal. So real were Max’s dreams that he actually dreamt the planet into existence until one day when the class bully, Linus stole his dream journal and scribbled all over its pages. As a result of Max’s dream journal being defaced with scribbles, Planet Drool was thrown into danger of destruction, so Shark Boy, Lava Girl and Max had no choice but to try and save Planet Drool which they obviously did in the end.

It was an entertaining movie, especially for the kids, but there was one important lesson in the movie that we can all learn. Every idea or dream starts out on the beautiful canvas of our minds, but how it ends up depends very much on who you choose to share your dream with.

When you share your dreams with the wrong people, you get a lot of “buts” - “but you know…”, “but I don’t think”, “but are you really sure….?”, “but what if….”. They begin to scribble on your dreams with their negativity. You start to factor all this negativity into the already confusing equations of your dreams and chances are you’ll end up shelving that fantastic idea in the back of your mind, together with the thousand other ideas that have suffered the same fate!

Sharing your dreams with the right people has the exact opposite effect. Instead of “buts”, you get encouragement and support to help you transform your empty canvas into a masterpiece! It’s easy to find scribblers - they’re everywhere - but when you find people to share your dreams with who will dream with you, treasure them, and learn from them!

Here are some tips on how to keep people from scribbling on your dreams :

Reality check!

Know yourself - know what you’re good at and what you’re not. Know what drives you and what you’re passionate about. When you do what you’re passionate about, the sky’s the limit.

Do your homework

Find out everything you can about your dream before your share it with the world. Visit the library. Scour the Internet. Ask people who are already doing it or have done it. Mind you, make sure they’ve been successful, otherwise they’re going to scribble all over your dream.

Don’t walk with turkeys

There’s a saying “you can’t fly with eagles when you keep walking with turkeys”! People will always give you their two-cents worth, without realizing the effect their words have. Every negative word you hear has the potential to scribble its way into your subconscious. If you keep company with turkeys, your dreams are going to end up burnt to a crisp and served on the thanksgiving table.

Fly with eagles

Keep company with eagles - people who know what it takes to make dreams come true, people who are positive! Keep your heart and mind fixed on your goal. If you’re sure a dream is workable, then find ways to work it! Seek guidance and support from the eagles in your life. Never be afraid to ask questions and seek help.

Make your dreams real

The best way to do this is to write down every dream or idea you have. Writing them down makes your dreams something tangible you can see and work on. Vocalize your dream. Visualize you reaching your goal everyday. Keep them in your heart and make sure you jealously guard your dreams against the scribblers.

Persistence and patience

If a dream is worth dreaming, it’s worth struggling for. Problems WILL arise. Take them in stride and keep your eyes fixed on your goal. Break every problem into smaller tasks and solve them one by one. Remember… “How do you move a mountain? One stone at a time, one rock at a time, one boulder at a time”.

I wished I had learnt this truth twenty years ago. Whether it’s setting up your own home business or making a million dollars or something that’s never been done before, dreams and ideas are the seeds of your future. Never, ever let people scribble on your dream! Protect them and nurture them as you would a young tree and watch it turn into a forest of all that you desire!

There is no doubt that Omega 3’s can not only help your heart and joints but it will also help your brain. Most people are aware of this, but do the benefits of Omega 3’s apply across
the board for all types of Omega 3’s? There are now many Companies in the world market today trying to capitalize on the Omega 3 ‘boom’ with such a wide range of products and so
many claims that it is hard for the consumer to sift out fact from fiction.

The purpose of today’s newsletter is to try and concisely as possible give you the facts about Omega 3.

I will try to explain the most important ones by dealing with each of them individually.

Important Point # 1

Your prime objective for consuming Omega 3 should be to get DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) into your body. The scientific evidence supporting the benefits of DHA is now overwhelming.
It is much more important than EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) which is the major Omega 3 component of most fish oils.

Important Point # 2

Not all Omega 3’s will provide you with DHA and EPA. This is because these essential fatty acids are not present in a lot of Omega 3 products. For example, ground flax seed is an
excellent oil for certain uses and contains Omega 3’s but does not actually contain any DHA or EPA at all. Instead it contains alpha linolenic acid which your body has to convert
to DHA and EPA.

In many people, particularly the elderly this conversion process is very inefficient. To give you an idea, it is estimated that most adults would have to consume 10 - 40 grams
of flaxseed oil to produce just 0.2 grams of DHA.

So, if you want to get the proven benefits of DHA don’t rely on getting your Omega 3’s from vegetable oils such as flaxseed. Note: There is however now some products being
produced from algae which contain good levels of DHA and do not require the body to convert the ALA to the DHA. But, they are still not readily available and they are expensive.

Important Point # 3

The best source of DHA is from fish oil. However, there are
some drawbacks with many fish oils:

1. The amount of DHA is low in most fish oils. A typical level is 12% DHA and 18% EPA. The popular ’salmon’ oils (which are not really salmon) are usually of the 12/18 type.

2. Many oils on the market today are from questionable
sources and some have high levels of heavy metals or other
contaminants such as PCB’s. To ensure that you don’t
ingest these contaminants, either use oils which have been
molecularly distilled, or are from impeccable sources with
a reliable certificate of analysis. This basically rules
out any oil which is processed from fish caught in the
Northern Hemisphere.

3. Most fish oils are of the triglyceride form which does not
easily pass through the cell membranes. (More on this
later)

Important Point # 4

Some suppliers of fish oil claim that it does not matter that the EPA is higher than the DPA because the body will convert part of the EPA to DPA. This is indeed true but like the
conversion of ALA to DHA the percentage of conversion is very low. This is due in part to the high consumption of Omega 6 in the typical Western diet.

Enzymes needed for the conversion are in ’short supply’ in the bodies of those people who have a reasonably high level of Omega 6 intake (via vegetable oils). This is because the
enzymes needed are ‘used up’ in having to deal with the processing of Omega 6 oils.

As a result, the conversion in most people is quite negligible which further supports ingesting the DHA directly.

Important Point # 5

As I indicated earlier most fish oils are in the triglyceride forms. A triglyceride consists of 3 fatty acids attached to a glycerol backbone. It does not pass easily through the cell membrane as it is changed. It also requires two enzyme steps to ‘release’ its fatty acids. Sometimes because of the structure of the triglycerides the fatty acids are not released but rather stay attached to the glycerol backbone.

In contrast, if the oil is esterified during the concentration and purification processes the resulting substance can easily enter the body’s cell membranes. The esterified molecule has
no charge and only requires one enterase enzyme to release the fatty acid. (DHA). This enables the body to use it as an immediate energy source, or store it for later use.

In Summary:

To receive the many benefits of DHA you have to consider
ensuring that you do as follows:

1. Find a source of fish oil that is high in DHA or
alternatively be prepared to take much higher doses of
conventional fish oil.

2. Ensure that the fish oil you use is molecularly distilled.

3. Try to find the oil in the Ester form for better
bio-availability.

In conclusion, try to find a quality fish oil supplement that meets these three criteria and your benefits will far outweigh the cost.

Problems with the digestive system are among the greatest and the most dangerous, but are often the most commonly ignored. One of the most prevalent causes of digestive problems starts with a problem in the colon. The colon serves as the waste disposal unit of the body. This is where waste and toxic substances are deposited before they are passed from the body.

A properly functioning colon needs to be able to absorb nutrients and then remove the waste materials before they can poison the body. If waste materials are not properly removed autointoxication occurs or re-absorption of the toxic waste. It is really very easy for putrefied waste to be absorbed through the colon wall into the bloodstream and then start damaging other organs of the body. A person may be considered having a healthy colon if he or she is having bowel movements two to three times per day.

Juice fasting is a great way of cleansing the colon. There are various juice fasting recipes that may be easily done at home. Vegetable juices are excellent colon cleansers especially if one to twenty cups of freshly pressed vegetables juices are consumed. The choice of vegetables would depend on the person’s tolerance. Each cup of juice may contain one or two (or more) of the following: carrots, beets, daikon, radishes, fresh celery (both the root and greens), ginger, garlic, cayenne, wheat grass, barley grass, dinkel grass, parsley roots and greens, kale, cucumber, pepper and dandelion.

Never use brown, wilted celery because it may be toxic. Only use the freshest vegetables and fruits. Apples and lemons are also great for the colon. The problem with juice fasting recipes is that not everybody has the time to create freshly squeezed juices every time they get hungry.

The best thing to do is to buy canning jars to contain the juices. The first thing to do is to line up the juicing materials that can provide at least three quarts of juice. Each of the canning jars is to be filled up to the very top so that no more can be added. Next is to hold the disk sealer just over the top of the jar and press down. Some juice should squirt down the side of the jar in order to allow only a minimal amount of air in the jar. Then screw the sealing ring to ensure the disk.

Afterwards, place all the jars in the refrigerator. This will keep the freshness of the vegetable juices up to three days. Simply take each one out whenever you need it.

However, it is important to drink the juice right after a jar is opened. The reason for this is that prolonged exposure to air will destroy the enzymes in the juice. These enzymes are important in cleansing the colon. Canned juices are not beneficial to your health since they don’t contain any enzymes. Important enzymes can only be extracted through juicing and then drinking immediately freshly squeezed juices.

In terms of food, raw foods are preferred for colon cleansing. This is because 30 to 85% of the nutrition in foods is destroyed during cooking. Fresh, raw foods contain the highest level of enzymes that are vital to cleansing the colon. These enzymes are the catalysts for the hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions that occur throughout the body. Most cooked foods have been denatured and are devoid of enzymes and other life promoting elements. While it is true that cooked foods maintain life, they don’t promote optimum health or longevity.

Rhios Raw Energy recipes are great sources of colon cleansing recipes that are not only delicious but are extremely healthy. There are even raw food restaurants opening up as people become more aware of the health benefits and realize that raw foods can be just as delicious as traditional fare.

Please note that it is always a good idea to consult a medical professional before fasting or changing your diet radically in any way.

If you say that Christianity is a peaceful religion according to scripture then it can be said that Islam, according to scripture is peaceful. In reality, both the Koran and the Bible present a dichotomy, promoting peace and violence. They both contain quotes that are peaceful and some not so peaceful quotes.

In Luke 19:27, Jesus himself says,

“But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me.”

Now the popular phrase…what would Jesus do?…doesn’t sound to good, does it?

The Koran also has many quotes like 2:190,

“The believer is called upon to fight in the way of God with those that fight with you…but aggress not. God loves not the aggressors.”

The point of using quotes is to show that using quotes is pointless. They can be twisted around and interpreted in a multitude of ways. Organized religion and now, politics,
are both guilty of using propaganda, containing quotes from the Bible or whatever text is appropriate, trying to influence the reader.

Fundamentalists are guilty of using religious texts and incorrectly interpreting them to arrive at the, “I am right, therefore you are wrong” mentality. This mentality can be dangerous; it can led to extremism. Extremists do not represent God but their own agenda. There have been countless cases of religious extremists justifying killing others by following quotes of scripture or I should say, their misguided interpretations of quotes of scripture.

Islam and Christianity have dark pasts (and in some cases, dark presents) because man got involved in interpreting the scriptures. Islam is no crueler than Christianity.

The “Golden Rule” is the key, not the Koran, the Bible, or any other organized religion’s text. Some form of Christianity’s Golden Rule is present in almost every religion. All religions preach peace but do the followers practice peaceful beliefs?

Should you be searching for a great price on Dishwashers, looking on the net can be an amazing practice to make sure you conserve cherished time & cash. If you’re tired of scanning round high-street outlet after high street retail shop scanning for your new dishwasher then why not jump on your PC and get on line and begin searching. Take your time finding the right dishwasher as a quality one can last a very long time.

You really should regularly buy from stores you trust, but nevertheless, when you are presented with a worrying number of unfamiliar stores on the world wide web choosing might well be difficult. A terrific way to stave off purchasing from undependable retailers is to shop with on-line retailers who also own a quality high-street location. You really should of course be extra sure to thoroughly scan the terms & conditions of all the online stores you’re seriously pondering buying your dishwasher from.

A further additional way to pick out a trustworthy web shop when you’re looking for high quality dishwashers is to find out whether they possess a dispassionate and elucidative buyers guide. Doing this will often furthermore highlight a disturbing number of issues you might well not have ordinarily thought of if you were just shopping on your own. These might often include; energy usage, additional features and storage capacity among other things.

Be very wary of obfuscated charges - VAT and home delivery charges which are tacked on at the checkout may ofttimes modify that first brilliant price you found for your dishwasher into something startlingly unremarkable.

a scattering of online options are faster than others - if the speed at which you obtain your new dishwasher is really not a concern then this may not concern you that much. Though, if you would rather not be manually scrubbing the knifes and forks and pans over Xmas then you might want to choose a shop who gives guaranteed delivery times.

Dishwashers can commonly look the business when they are sat in a display room or on a web-site but end up disappointed when they reaches your families house. So be extra sure to check the returns policy of the website you are ordering from.

Website owners who have passed the initiation rite of getting traffic come face to face with another problem. Why don’t people buy from their website and what they can do about it?

1. They don’t feel safe
Give your visitors a feeling of safety by telling them about your secure ordering process, your privacy policy and how jealously you protect their email address, and your refund and contact information.

2. Lack of a professional look
Think about the professionals you know. Start from yourself and move on to the mechanics, engineers, doctors and lawyers you know. They all look different but they dress appropriately for their profession. A skilled mechanic who wears
a doctor’s stethoscope around his neck is as strange as a doctor who carries a wrench in his hand to the examination room.

Does your Website convey a message of unity and coordination by having a theme? Is it easy to navigate? Do graphics look home made? Are there too many ads, banners, and pop ups?

3. Lack of flow through AIDA
A quick look at the statistic of website marketing shows you how little website owners care about this. According to Overture in July 2004, 3380698 searched for the term “Web site promotion”, 396562 searched for “Web site design” and only 365 looked for “Web site writing.” In the same month only 62
searched for “Web site headline.” Those 62 are the ones who are making the money.

AIDA stands for attention, interest, desire and action. This is the logical cycle that carries a mildly interested visitor through the steps leading to the action you propose. Does your website take the visitor through this process?

4. Too many features not enough benefits
Features are the shallow itemized list of product. No one cares about them. Benefits are the satisfying solutions to your visitors problems. They are eager for these solutions. Check your website sales copy. Are you emphasizing benefits
or features?

5. Lack of ordering options
Give visitors options to order by credit cards, checks, money orders, and other forms of electronic payments. Take orders by phone, e-mail, web site, fax, mail, etc.

Just remember the more options you give them the more time it will take you to process these orders. If you are too busy, you may want to keep things completely automated and avoid fax, phone and mail orders.

6. Allowing procrastination
Do you give your visitors an urgency to buy now, a coupon that expires tonight, a free bonus that will not be offered again? Something that they cannot pass up? Caution: Keep your promise. If you say a coupon expires tomorrow, replace it tomorrow. You are building a reputation.

7. No reason to come back
People usually don’t purchase the first time they visit. Do you offer your visitors a reason to come back? Offer them something of great perceived value like, a free course, an ebook in return for their name and email address. This way you can keep in touch with them. The more times they visit your site, the greater the chance they will buy

8. Poor traffic targeting
Keywords play the biggest role here. Take the time and list your product benefits. Then find keywords that closely tie to those benefits. Also survey your existing customers to see what attracted them to buy. Find keywords which can attract more customers for the same reasons.

9. No testing or poor testing
When was the last time you tested your headline? How about your offer? Regular testing is necessary to improve your ad copy, your offer, your bonus your coupons, etc.

Remember that regular does not mean constant. Set a goal to test each item separately and at regular intervals, let say every 200 visitors or every 2000 visitors and not on a constant basis.
